HEALTHYBID PRIVACY POLICY

HealthyBid recognizes the sensitivity of personal health information and
respects the privacy of our users. We have developed this Privacy Policy
to demonstrate our commitment to your privacy and to describe how
HealthyBid treats personal information when you use our services.
Information we collect
In order to supply content that is designed for the needs of our users,
we collect and store personal information and other general information
that may specifically identify you such as name, address, e-mail, phone
and fax numbers. For providers of healthcare services, we may also
collect information on type of provider, services offered, cash pricing,
specialties, education, and other professional designations.
We collect this information when you voluntarily provide it to us through
our secure registration process. Each registered user of our site will
have a unique ID and password and have control over the personal
information that resides on our site.
In an effort to continuously improve our service, we collect and store
search terms when our search functions are used to retrieve information.
HealthyBid servers will also collect and record information about the use
of the site by our registered users and the anonymous users that have not
yet registered. The log-in information will be used to understand how our
services are being used and to improve the delivery of those services. We
may also use your IP address to determine your approximate geographic
location in order to provide geographically relevant information.
We may automatically collect information from your browser when you visit
our websites. This information includes your IP address, your browser
type and language, access times, the content of any undeleted cookies
that your browser previously accepted from us, and the referring website
address. When you visit our websites, we may assign your computer one or
more cookies, to facilitate access to our websites, to personalize your
online experience, and to record information about your visit to our
websites. Through the use of a cookie, we also may automatically collect
information about your online activity on our websites, such as the web
pages you visit, the links or advertisements you click, or the other
actions you conduct while on our websites. The cookies do not store any
personally identifiable information about you. We may use standard
Internet technology, such as web beacons and other similar technologies,
to track your use on our websites. We also may include web beacons in
promotional email messages or newsletters to determine whether messages
have been opened and acted upon. The information we obtain in this manner
enables us to customize the services we offer our website visitors to
deliver targeted advertisements and to measure the overall effectiveness
of our online advertising, content, programming or other activities.
How we use your information
To store information on HealthyBid and to gain access to the HealthyBid
network of patients, you will need an account. When you create a
HealthyBid account, we require a username, e-mail address and a password
which is used to protect your account from unauthorized access.
When you register with HealthyBid, the information you supply will be
used to create your profile which will become public information. Your
profile will display some or all of the following information: Provider
name, address, photograph(s), contact numbers, map of location,
professional designations, education, patient reviews and other user
defined content. In addition, you will also have the opportunity to add
other personal or professional information to your profile.
We may use your email contact to send you information about our services,
third party services, when necessary. We may use your demographic
information or your search data to customize and tailor your experience
on the HealthyBid Site in emails according to your preferences.
With whom we share information
There is a balance between transparency, full disclosure of Provider
information in order to facilitate the decision making process for
consumers, and the search for competitive information by other providers.
We will display procedure and pricing information only to registered
consumers users of HealthyBid that meet specific search criteria of
procedure and geography, and implement technological procedures that will
not allow mining of information through the use of robots or other
automated tools.
HealthyBid may share aggregated, non-personal information with third
parties; this information will not identify you individually.
We may be compelled to release personal information to third parties to
comply with valid legal requirements such as a law, regulation, search
warrant, subpoena or court order or in the event that we are legally
compelled to disclose your personal information to a third party, we will
make reasonable efforts to notify you unless doing so would violate the
law or court order.
How we protect your personal information
We take appropriate security measures to help safeguard your personal
information from unauthorized access and disclosure, including physical,
electronic and procedural measures. Only authorized employees and
authorized third-party service providers are permitted to access personal
information, and they may do so only for permitted business functions. In
addition, we use encryption in the transmission of your sensitive
personal information between your system and ours, and we use firewalls
to help prevent unauthorized persons from gaining access to your personal
information. Although we take steps to secure your information, we do not
promise that your personal information, searches, or other communications
will always remain secure. Users should also take care with how they
handle and disclose their personal information.
Changes to this policy
From time to time, HealthyBid may update our Privacy Policy. As a
registered user of HealthyBid, you will be notified of material changes
to our policy by email. You will not be notified of non-material changes
that do not affect the use of personal information. Our current Privacy
Policy will be identified by the effective date posted on the site.
